Start an EMCA Chapter

EMCA chapters are built through a structured, step-by-step process designed to help students start strong and grow responsibly.
Before submitting your interest, review how the chapter process works below.

How the Chapter Process Works

1) SUBMIT INTEREST

Share your information, your school, and why you’re interested in starting an EMCA chapter. This helps us understand where you’re coming from and whether EMCA is a good fit for your campus.

2) Probationary Semester

Approved groups begin a probationary period focused on building awareness and interest on campus. During this time, chapters host introductory meetings, engage their campus community, and demonstrate commitment to EMCA’s mission.

3) Evaluation

At the end of the probationary semester, groups submit a brief summary of their activities, outreach efforts, and lessons learned. This allows EMCA National to assess readiness for full chapter status.

4) Full Chapter Approval

Groups that successfully complete the probationary period are approved as official EMCA chapters. Approved chapters receive access to leadership roles, operational resources, branding materials, and national support.
